Lágrima de Malvasía Blanco Barrica 2021 is a white wine produced by Bodegas Insulares Tenerife in the Tacoronte-Acentejo region of Tenerife. It combines the aromatic intensity of Malvasía with a subtle touch of oak ageing.
The wine is made from 100% Malvasía Aromática, a signature grape of the Canary Islands known for its expressive aromatics. The must is obtained using the “lágrima” method, meaning free-run juice without pressing, resulting in greater finesse and purity.
After fermentation, the wine undergoes a short ageing period in French oak barrels, adding complexity and texture while preserving the varietal character.
On the nose it shows aromas of tropical fruit, peach, citrus and floral notes, with hints of honey, vanilla and light toast. On the palate it is aromatic, balanced and slightly creamy, with fresh acidity and a long, elegant finish.
It pairs beautifully with fish, seafood, rice dishes, Asian cuisine and spiced dishes, where its aromatic profile and texture stand out.
