Gaja, Ca'Marcanda Bolgheri 2016 - 75 cl
The name Ca'Marcanda derives from a Piedmontese dialect expression that can be translated as the "house of negotiations that never end" and refers to the several meetings between the previous owners of the land and Angelo Gaja; a very long negotiation that finally concluded in 1996 with the purchase of the terrenos.Los soils of Bolgheri, which are located at latitudes reaching between 70 and 200 meters above sea level. The consistency of the mud, sediments and sand, are rich in limestone and contain abundant aggregate sandstone. Precisely this high limestone content gives them a light color that is called "terre bianche" (white earth). This soil is very suitable for producing long-lasting wines that can improve over the years.
