Tarima Hill Monastrel 2017, 75cl

Tarima Hill is made exclusively from Monastrell grapes; a native grape capable of resisting and adapting to extreme climatic conditions, as well as to the scarcity of rainfall, such as those found in the Alicante area. The vineyards are between 40 and 75 years old, planted in goblet on calcareous soils and with very low yields. These characteristics translate, thanks to the good work of Bodegas Volver, into a fresh and very well balanced wine, with a very attractive cherry color in the glass, medium-high layer. That liveliness and a tear that descends slowly and stains the glass, in addition to a label that indicates 15% alcohol, makes us think that the wine will be really powerful. And powerful it is, but elegant too. Do not be afraid, that density is immediately contrasted (and balanced) by a great freshness on the nose and a rich range of aromas: ripe fruit (blueberries, blackberries) and gourmand, notes of sweet spices, soft smoky notes, earthy notes and a mineral background that gains prominence as the wine opens in the glass (we recommend opening the bottle an hour before tasting and letting it rest in the glass for a few moments).
